When I bought my 1999 XJ it was supposed to be in VG shape and well maintained..........by the sellers standards I guess. I spent a total of $1280 on it for things that had to be done just to pass inspection and things that were past due being changed and replaced.

That was before I did the rest of the front end work it required and u-joints. These are things that have to be done before you start any custom work lift kits/larger tires wheels etc. or these become major problems then.
