im a chevy guy... but i hated the duramax... wanted a diesel... bought a 98 cummins... nothing but problems... traded in with a slipping torque converter for a 03 cummins 4 door long bed on 37's... 6 months later dropped 2nd gear... among many many many other things... let just say i put MORE money into keeping it on the road then what my payoff was... traded it in in Oct for a 2010 new Z71 5.3 with better gears so i can still pull the car trailer fine ... lol...

negative... negative... everyone know the cummins is first... 7.3 powerstroke second... then any duramax and 6.0 powerstroke... the chevy truck is better then the dodge truck though... just backwards with the motors...

There is nothing good about a 7.3 psd. Besides they run forever. They are a joke as far as power and it takes serious change to make one with any kinda power.
Try dragging a stock 7.3 against a stock 6.0 and you'll see.
Sounds like you got a lemon 5.9. Those motors are some of the best imo.
37's don't belong on a truck just on Jeeps IMO but I digress.

I do like the Zo6 and ZR1 though. Everything else is a bad joke.
