Are new Jeeps Considered to be a "Crysler Product"?
Man I have a Cherokee and it's been good to me . The new jeeps are hunks of junk they all have dodge caravan motors in them so basically there a 4X4 minivan if you ask me . And I just don't like the wAy they look there just not like they use to be .

My 87 say's AMC on just about everything my 89 has a couple Chrysler symbols on a couple parts.
But the quality in the 89 is good.
I do notice in the trucks how shabby they are thrown together. Like cheap interior stuff like that.
Reason why I never liked Dodge.

im a chevy guy... but i hated the duramax... wanted a diesel... bought a 98 cummins... nothing but problems... traded in with a slipping torque converter for a 03 cummins 4 door long bed on 37's... 6 months later dropped 2nd gear... among many many many other things... let just say i put MORE money into keeping it on the road then what my payoff was... traded it in in Oct for a 2010 new Z71 5.3 with better gears so i can still pull the car trailer fine ... lol...

Well I didn't get a chance to read all the thread just to throw my two sense in, the main jeep products are the wrangler And G C. Jeeps stays true to these. As for liberties these are made but dodge. Put a new liberty next to a nitro and you'll see it's the same car. As for the patriot this I believe is the jeep equivalent of a has efficient car, I don't think the 4x4 system is as good as the GC.

This thread is pretty funny. Are some of you really trying to compare amc quality to Chrysler?
You must not mess with very many amc jeeps.

Not sure why you'd buy an auto cummins. Everyone know those trannys don't hold up long term. Check that, put a $1,500 torque converter in it an they run a lot longer. I have a buddy an his has stacked chips an that's all he did to fix his slipping issue. Its got over 200k on the stock tranny. His is a 04 tho

hehehe... i chose a auto because they are faster dragging... 6 speeds are slow as crap to shift... i chose auto because Jeff Garmons (Garmons Diesel Performance) shop is 5 minutes from me... i lost 2nd but it was a window to drop my $4500 tranny and tripple disc torque converter in it... there junk stock... but after jeff tore into mine i was barking 2nd with 37's...
trannys were not my biggest problems... both trucks injector pumps crapped... both trucks lift pumps crapped... both trucks ball joints crapped... 98 dropped two batteries... a starter... a radiator... and abunch of small stuff on the inside... 03 dropped two batteries... a ECM... all 6 injectors ($650 each new from dodge)... injector O-rings... a metal fuel line... trailer lights... CPS... both hub assemblies twice at $300 each... front axle joint... tie rod... AC quit... heater core... rebuilt front driveshaft... rebuilt rear driveshaft... left tail light circuit board twice... cab light leaked all in the cab one day... and tons of interior stuff...
dodge = junk... but boy did i love my 03 even though it hurt...
