Ok jeep guys,I need to pick yalls brains. First I just bought a 1990 Cherokee laredo, I haven't seen it in person yet but a buddy that was closer to where its at did. My question is what axles came under it and motors.about all I know is its automatic and fourdoor & 4x4 and runs and drives ....any info yall can hook me up with would help greatly..I plan on installing arb lockers front and rear with a 3inch bodylift and a 4.5 short ARM suspension lift, rollbars and my 12000 lb winch "scout leftovers" over kill? I plan on stuffing 35 mudders under it.

You will need to rethink your lift. It's a unibody vehicle so there is no body lift.

If its stock it will have the vacuum disconnect D30 front and D35 rear. Engines available were the 2.5L 4cyl with 3spd auto and 4.0L I-6 with AW4 OD auto. The 2.5L was about 125hp and the 4.0L was the Renix 170hp.

If you're gonna put 35s under it you're gonna want to put better diffs with lower gears in.

Consider getting rid of the Dana 35 for an 8.25 or something bigger..you can fit 35s with a 6.5 inch lift and some trimming.

How stable is a Cherokee with lift? My scout was so heavy it got weird after a 8.5 lift

They are fairly light. I rode around in someone's who had 8.5 it's unnecessary if you only want 35's. You can do the popular Dana 60 front and 14 bolt rear. 4.88 gears or 4.56 would be better gear option.
