A buddy of mine once said, and I agree, give me an unmolested car with a good body, good glass, and a decent interior at a fair price, and I am good.
Pretty much anything mechanical I can fix.
Thinking that applies to what XJ to buy also. LOL.

x2. Regular maintenance by previous owner(s) is a bigger factor than model year.
