I'm new here and have been hanging around the forum and am going to get an xj once i can get rid of my truck.

well to get to the point i know ya'll have difference of opinions on which year model is the best, but what are some year models to stay away from for sure.

if you want the best of everything the 97-99 is your best bet they had better power the bigger axles and more comforts of a newer vehichle like cup holders. but anything after 94 when they switched to the larger ujoints is a good choice also look for one with the chrysler 8.25 they are much better axles then the d35

Good luck in a Jeep purchase. I was looking into Wranglers, but I'm very happy with my XJ. They have more room to easily fit people in and not have to climb over in them, or sqeeze in behind the seat. I never noticed them before and now I tend to stare at a nice looking XJ. Mines ugly though!!!, and I still like it a lot

that has any 4 cyl or v6
the v6s have major problems and the 4 banger trannys dont like 33s
