New 2014 Cherokee
Only in name.
Attached (hopefully) is what's on the Jeep site for the new 2014 Cherokee. Boasting none other than better on road handling.
Jeep is lost if that is what they are going to slap the Cherokee name on.

I wish jeep wouldn't call it a Cherokee. I don't like it but it wouldn't bother me so much if they called it liberty or grand compass or something like that but I really don't want that to be associated with the Cherokee name. http://m.facebook.com/pages/Petition...430280833&_rdr

That would make this Cherokee XJ the 5th Generation if they call it and XJ
1984-1996 1st
1997-2001.5-2002 according to Napa 2nd
The well know XJ 2500-2700 2003-2005 3rd
The unknown XJ Jeep Knight S12 2005-2009 4th
Then the new 2014 Model if they call it the XJ.
Otherwise the XJ ran from 1984-2009 A good solid 25 years.
