Default 2 inch lift = shock issues

I purchased a 1999 cherokee limited. Noticed all shocks were blown so i purchased 4 kyb mono max shocks. then noticed the back was sagging just a little bit so I installed two helper springs which gave it a 2 inch lift and now looks great...now it seems my shocks are to small cause I go over a lil bump and I here a thud. From what I've been reading this means my shocks are bottoming out and can get damaged if I continue driving w them. So now I need new shocks. Can anyone recommend a decent pair of shocks that will be used for mostly city and highway driving but are durable enough to handle a heavy load. I do go camping every year and have a lot of gear.

I picked up my shocks at autozone. I run bilstein rear now and they are really nice. if I was you I'd just cut off the old shock mounts and weld on new ones a few inches higher

With +2" of lift you're at risk of overextending your shocks, not bottoming them out.

Wish I could do the cutting off and re-welding...don't have the tools or shop to do so...sucks...so unfortunately I have to pay someone to fix the problem n looking for a fix that won't hurt the wallet that bad.

Please just go look at the shocks... Make sure there is a rubber bushing on the bottom part... I had this going on and the bushings had squeezed out.

I don't Think its an extention problem at all, because!!! If the rear was sagging and u boosted it, its probly at stock height now. Or 1" over but that doesn't matter .. its gota be an attachment/ bushing or loose bolts... Go check everything. Then check again.
