Default Neon injector?

Neon injector for higher mpg? What are the cons? And other suggestions would be appreciated.

I'm running a set of neon injectors in my 4.5L stroker now and jeep pulls a lil stronger and smoother and I haven't driven enough of just on road to see mpg gain but I'm sure I will have one. The 4 hole injectors are a better design than single hole. 784s working great for me.

I tried to put neon injectors in my 1985 2.5L but they got stuck in the valves and now I have bent pushrods. Maybe I should have used something softer, like pastel injectors?

I think oil based, perhaps Rotella based would have been better. I don't trust those compressed chalk injectors at all

Need more info to tell how it will help or hurt you. but for me I've running them for over three years and they helped with off idle response seemed to deliver a smoother power band they tend to shine more when you bump the fuel pressure but I can say I like them alot. haven't had any real down sides for me.

Maybe they are more fitting for 4.0s?

A fun and knowledgeable group here. We tell it like it is.

Welcome.

Contact Programbo here on Cherokee Forum. He has the best injectors and knows what works best.

Also from what I understand, the 784s are more fitting for '99-'01 xj

well they do things differently up there in Canada though... They use special tractor edition 4.0's engines up there

+1 on Programbo.

But unless your current injectors are all gummed up and not working as expected, don't expect an MPG rise.

I saw no difference in anything with the kneeon injector swap.
