Need your opinion, asap
I found an '87 that has problems running, lots of floor rot, and the owner says might have some T-case problems... but it has D44 front(CAD) & D44 rear.
It also has a T-case skid, gas tank skid, & front tow hooks.
I offered him $200, and he said sure.
Now, I dont know alot about the CAD....is there a way to get rid of it altogether???
...like replacing the axle or something?
Or should I worry about that later, and just buy the thing?

I have a Jeep Chrysler book in front of me at the shop right now. It says Cherokees that ever came with a d44 were overseas and weren't produced till 92. also they never came to North America, this is what jeep book is saying. if it really has a d44 front thats a steal!

Some of the export XJ's had the D44 front axle, mostly South America. It's the same axle that eventually ended up in the Rubicons.. D44 diff with 30 outters.
To my understanding none were CAD.
150 for the rear 44 and the resty of the usable parts is a steal.. grab it.

Hmm...I think I got a little to excited, when I saw the rear and then checked the front... Cause the more I look at it, the more it looks like a D30, just with a D44 plug...
Oh well...still got a D44, gas tank skid, TC skid, & tow hooks for $150
Heres pics...
