i was searching craigslist and found a 96 jeep cherokee wit 4 1/2 long arm kit wit 33 the guy said it needs the fuel pump hooked up and the brakes bled plus it has a death wobble he is wanting 1200 4 it is a auto and has 146000 miles plus it has some rocker panel rust and quater panels are rusted i dont know how to put the ad up on here to show you if some one could give me a hand id greatly appreciate it its in scanton the ad will say 96 cherokee for parts or repair thanks for the help guys i am prob going to get it this weekend iam just wanting to know if its a good deal thanks for any help

 

How are the tires looking? What lift kit? Is it regeared for the 33's?

Its an awesome deal for 1200$ as long as it runs even if its in rough shape. But how could you know that it even runs if the fuel pump is not hooked up? What if the motor or trans is blown? Why wouldnt he just hook up the fuel pump and sell it for more? I guess I would have to see that it runs first. Wouldnt care about DW or the rust etc. I mean it is 1200$, but it has to run.

yea i hear you there the long arm kit and stuff is worth that and he said has the fuel pump that i could install it in his drive way and drive it home if i wanted to but i do have my other cherokee plus i have a spare motor in my basement that i could put in it if need i think iam going to get i could part it out if i had to and make my cash back thanks for putting the link up and for the help guys going to go get it this weekend

he has only had it for 2 days and he told me the seal was leaking around the fuel pump so he droped it the tank to put a new one on and he said he is to busy to mess wit it so he just wants to get rid of it

 

so doubt he knows if its been regeared or not he seems like he is being honest

 

will do suppose to go look at it on sat so if i get it ill post up some pics and let you guys see the bad and thanks for the help i talked to the owner on the phone and he sounded like a young boy he said he was in school and he didnt seem to have the knowledge to fix it he said he couldnt get the fuel pump out that it wouldnt turn he said tires are 50 % and he dont know what kind of lift but it has sky jacker shocks but will let you know more on sat

How did you manage to get it in the basement?

 

Put $1000 cash in his hand and take it home. He is practically telling you he will take less than the asking price. Even if its a piece of junk and you never get it running you can get your money back in parts. Plus look at all the fun you will have. HA

 

yea i deff agree wit you on that and i done talked him down to a grand lol plus if i never get it road legal ill will atleast have nice play toy i gotta drive 6 hrs to get it but it will be well worth it i cant wait to go get it this weekend

 

plus i have another cherokee the one in the pic so i could even use it for the parts for the one i already have
