need some assistance with lock cylinders as soon as possible

unfortunately my buddy's 98 ate the only key i had to my 96, sooo today i want to take one of the lock cylinders out to take to the locksmith. question is which one is easier and how do i do it. Been outside for 45 minutes trying to get the trunk lock cylinder out, can't seem to do it, suggestions PLEASE

The passenger door would be easier to remove. Once you get the door panel off you will see a clip that hold the lock cylinder in the door, remove that clip by sliding it from behind the cylinder, undo the clip that holds the rod on the lever and pull the cylinder out of the door.

ok, thank you very much, I do not know why I did this but I took your advice buuut took it out of the driver door instead, the key is being made now, thanks again

The driver side is the same as the passenger side, I only suggested the passenger side in case something breaks you don't have to crawl across the jeep every time you need to unlock your drivers door.

I know its too late but if there's a next time, just take the glove box lock out, easiest and quickest. Haha did this when I first got my xj, it came with no keys
