Default Need advice on Shocks

Hey guys, new to the XJ game, just got mine last week, and have a question about shocks. I believe mine are the original stockers, '01, no lift, I don't believe, and slightly larger tires, 235/75-15 BFG T/A, and I'd like a good on/off road shock that won't cost me a fortune. I don't want anything too radical, so let me know what you guys recommend. Thanks.

bilstein 5100's are where it's at! lol, but those are a pretty big dent in the wallet.

For an unlifted XJ I would go with a Skyjacker or other "good" shock. Save the expensive "great" Bilstien or Fox shocks for after you lift, because you will want to. :-)

Good thing about getting a good shock is with a name brand that everyone knows you will be able to get at least 50% of your money back when you lift and need new longer shocks.
