Everyone has soft 8. Get something diffrent but stay black. I am waiting till I put my new lift on and new wheels before I post the before and after, and trust me they won't be soft 8's. No offense but everyone gets them because there cheap but do look good. Get the d windows or somethng. Or paint yours black and cut them fenders up...

Gotcha.
Good suggestion. Was thinking of going the whole blackout theme. Which is very appealing. Just Not sure just yet.

I have looked at the after market and fenders in body armor etc.
How do you exactly cut your fenders? What tools, and how?
Thanks
*This would be something I might do this weekend if its an easy task, because I have lots to do this weekend. Wheeling =)

I'm not sure but by looking at the picture you might like the nice clean look? If you pull those flares off you will see a line on the fender you can follow nicely with a cut off wheel or if you have access to a plasma cutter even better. Get a friend that can weld and cut if you can't do it yourself. You truck looks good if you rip them flares off your gonna take a nice looking xj and turn it into a reall wheeler in no time, all the pretty idea behind it will go out the window unless you spend stupid money on after market flares. Just my 2 cents

Makes sense. I agree. I'm not just geared twords the clean, fresh look. I also like to get my truck muddy without a doubt. It just really clean, and maintained while its not being wheeled. I was thinking of the after market fenders, not sure. Kind of pricey for something so simple?
More suggestions?

There's alot you can do it's all about how much $ and what kinda look your going for I bought mine in pretty good shape and have really started hacking it up, right now it looks nothing like what's in my photos but it's gonna be cool. It really depends on if it's something your going to keep and wheel or someting your gonna keep nice and mabey sell someday. I have another truck to drive on long trips and stuff like that so it's diffrent for everyone what there deal is. My jeep is my dd but it don't have to go on long trips or look "pretty"

That detour back bone is a sweet add-on. Just need to buy some more stuff before I go there. I'm gonna make my own front bumper but I love that backbone. Custom stuff is the best and I'm a small business store manager. I always support them first when possible.
