I think the best way to cut fenders is a dremel tool. I used it on mine and I get compliments on how straight they are I taped them off like when painting a vehicle and I slowly cut them with a cutting wheel

mine is a 93, I'm wondering if the newer style he has will have the defined lines like our years does under the fender flares that came stock. What a diffrence in look and clearance, and not that hard to do

Yeah it's my daily driver, but of course i'd like to bring it offroad as much as possible. Just not going to roll it over, or put it on its side, but ruts, and mud, and high speed fish tails is about the furthest im going with my XJ. I love Betsy too much =)

Paint the steering wheel logo, move decals around, add a sound system, take the trim off. Lots of little things make your jeep your own

A person with the skill, can build this off the BackBone......it's all BackBone based........

Cheap upgrades huh... you could remove your rear swaybar for a bit of extra flex. You can also use the old sway bar links to make yourself some rear upper bar pin eliminators as outlined here http://www.lunghd.com/Tech_Articles/.../Rear_BPEs.htm . You could do the intake air temp sensor relocation outlined here https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f51/bu...location-2599/ . You could make a wind deflector for your roof rack, maybe set up a cool air intake for your truck (I built my intake for about $50). Go to a junkyard and find yourself some factory skid plates, maybe some factory tow hooks. You could pick up a set of ZJ seats from a JY and install them pretty cheaply. The list of budget friendly XJ mods goes on and on and on....

Yeah I don't want to cut the fenders.

Wish I has the steal fenders with bolts =) painted glossy black.

I tossed a spare tire up there in my rack now.. Nothing big.

Brand NEW rim that is the same are the ones on my XJ and a brand new Goodyear wrangler tire full size spare.. For only $50 on CL!!!

Glad to hear that. I was going to say, looking at your setup there is no NEED for you to cut unless you're going to a bigger tire like a 33". I had to cut mine for clearance and I added Bushwacker flares because UHP are a bunch of tire clearance ****'s and I got tired of tickets. Problem is, when you get tired of the look and want to go back to the clean original lines, you can't.

Semi-cheap upgrade; CB radio and antenna.
