Default my fourth XJ :)

Just picked this up for 3k 180k on the engine and trans. 4.5 in rustys lift with magnaflow exhaust. sounds puuuuurdy . 33'' goodyear duratrac tires like new. couple little things needed. only downfall is that its a 2000 Xj with the 0331 head so hopefully it works out. either way i have big plans for this one.

As long as it doesn't overheat it will be fine.

It could have overheated the day before he got it for all he knows. If it was me I'd replace that head before it grenades the engine.

Yeah tires have about 1k on them and the 4.10 gears are fairly new as well with only 1k on them.

Oh I am definitely staying alert on that. And I already plan to change the 0331 head out. I just couldn't pass it up with the gears it has and tires. It'll be worth it down the road

I bet they put those gears in when they had a 31" tire on it the 33's would have had the 4.56's. What rear differential does it have and I guess the front is the stock LPD30, does it have lockers in it also? The price was good for sure the body looks good except for the tail lights lol.

With 180,000 on the clock I would be tempted to replace the head and see how many more miles it will run.

It did have 31s on it when he bought it but then it gear searched and wouldn't stay in 5th gear. So he put 33s and 4.10 gears in to get back in the stock power band. But yes 4.56 would be better for wheeling and towing.but the 4.10s definitely help with power and gas which I am sure you know all this. He went off the gearing chart.

your jeep doesn't have 5th gear. The AW4 automatic trans only have 3 years with overdrive
