I tend to avoid mud in most of my wheeling. Beside there is no challenge to going through mud, most of the time, you either get stuck and dirty or go through it and get dirty. Kind of part of my Tread Lightly principle Here the only mudd you really ever see is on the trails in the wheel ruts, so I drive to the high sides. The greenies here have a habit of getting trails closed because people think you have to turn every mud puddle on a trail into a bog. Rocks can get you stuck and dirty, but at least you have to think about what you are doing. With every pile you come to. It's not a matter of wheel speed, but brain speed and vehicle strength.

i must disagree. mud bogs are mud bogs, a mud puddle in the trail is something to be skirted around, tread lightly. Where i live there is a trail on private property where the guy uses his skidsteer to dig mud holes, fix ruts, so on and so forth. these are the type of trails where you try and beat out the next guy in the dirt. Afraid to get dirty? we got a loonie car wash here its real efficient.
