Hey guys was wondering if you could help me out. ?.looking at 99 xj completely stock. Guy has it listed at 3700...going to test drive it tonight because he didn't have plates on it when I checked it out , I I did start it and drive around the driveway to see if 4wd engaged and trans shifted ...from what I saw so far is it needs exhaust mounts new leaf springs and pass side tail light...newer brakes, tires, oil pan gasket and rear main seal all down within the last 2 years (seen all paperwork on everything done)havent see any rust , has issue with liftgate not opening because if the clip inside also liftgateis dented and there is a dent above pass side rear wheel...obviously im not offer a price until I test drive it... what do you think would be a fair offering price if it drives awesome

Thanks for the help...ended up getting it for 3500 and I gave him my 99 cavalier with 280000 miles on it so I don't have to worry about getting rid of it

Tried like hell to get him down to 3100 but wouldn't budge...plus with the cavalier It runs but not well he won't be able to sell because of the amount of work it needs plus I dont a driveway to leave in for me to keep and try to sell plus would have to keep insurance on it because it has to stay on the street and the reg needed to be renewed at the end of the month so with those expenses that I wont have to pay I think it's a fair deal

I thought about scraping it even thought about keeping it to drive around town for errands but like I said I would have to keep it insured until I decided what to do with it
