if your $250 kit was the same as a $40 kit, then you might have possibly gotten ripped off. or you might have bought it back when the cheap kits were 250 bucks.

No offense man....I've owned and done enough research to understand that the bulbs may look different, the ballast may be more slim....the box might even be all nice and shinny....but when you buy HIDs it's all the same tech.......how much did you pay for yours???

i prefer not to blind people, so i don't use cheap hids. however a set of GE Nighthawks serve every purpose i need.
when i need offroad lights, i'll just get a light-bar with some Hellas.

Then i wouldn't been so quick to judge so hard against what you call "cheap" hids do your research....Hellas are great...if you have 3-600 dollars to through at lights...I don't....

false, not all HIDS are treated equally. HID's only play one part of lighting. projectors are the other..

you see my link befor? but not everone can aford a nice Denso setup with TSX or s2k projectors
http://www.theretrofitsource.com/index.php?cPath=32

like i said if the truck is STAYING off the road and you wanta be cheep with hids go a head.. BUT if your going to drive it on the street you have to rework your hids, AND houseings so they dont endanger people or on comeing traffic.. its not about how much money your spending. but makeing a setup that is safe and satisfy your lighting wants and needs.

you gota cutoff pic on that z71?
