Master Plan
Alright so check this out guys, I ordered some HIDs(2 sets) along with the open beam headlights, and a set of those cheap square fog lights or running lights whatever you call them, while looking at the running lights I noticed two screws on each side providing access to the bulb....well with a little snipping and cutting and a little RTV I plan on converting the cheapo lights into a set that would normally cost around 199.99....just waiting on USPS to drop my stuff off and ill let you guys know how it looks and functions....heads up....it's going to be sweet..... :-)
12,000K HID- $38.99
12,000K HID- $38.99
Open Beam Housing- $69.99
Cheapo Fog Lights- $19.99
Listening to you friends ***** about how bright your lights are!- Priceless

btw, if someone hits you head on, the judge CAN rule against you if your lights were too bright. i'd consider either a real hid kit, or some GE Nighthawks.

The last time I was stopped for speeding by DPS, I asked the trooper if he thought my lights where too bright, " not to terrible" he said....but I was stopped for my tail lights being blacked out...issued a warning.....and where did you hear about someone getting ruled against for a head on collision because there lights where too bright? I mean I know it's possible....but I thinks its the same principle of someone coming around the corner with there OEM brights on and not having enough time to turn them off....am I wrong..? I have halogens as a back up when driving snaking roads....

it happens more often than you think. regular high beams cannot be ruled as a cause. but any aftermarket modification can. especially considering that the light rays put out by the cheap, knock-off lights are not as soft as the ones put out by real HID kits. seriously, why do u think people actually spend $200-300 on quality HID kits. it ain't just for the brand name.

The point of this thread was explain how excited I was to have some badass off-road lights.....that didn't cost an arm and a leg.....so srry if I offended some ppl that have had near death experiences with others that have HIDs...but really thanks for the input.....I'll post pics when I am done....hopefully it doesn't blind anyone that looks at them...
