Making my xj safe to drive
when I'm driving above 50 kms, I can hit any bump and the front axle will shake extremely to the point where I have to lock up the breaks to stop the banging and shaking.
Now I have a 3 inch zone lift, new shocks all around and balanced tires, everything else is stock. I am not currently running sway bars on the front because I have not received them yet.
I know that running the stock trac bar is off setting my front wheels by an inch or two, is that cause for concern? Is that why I get such a crazy shake?
My old jeep had the death wobble, but this only occurs on bumps, and the steering wheel doesn't shake at all till I hit bumps

check the condition of all TRE"S and the track bar along with the ball joints. all can and will cause death wobble. look for obvious cracks as well at the mounting points for the track bar.

Meant to post this in Cherokee tech. Anyways I will check those things. Is having the front wheels off center because of the stock trac bar gonna give me any problems though? And no sway bars should only allow articulation and Nothing else, is that correct

The idea on no sway bar is partially correct.
I ran with no sway bar, but when a woman lane changed into my lane on the highway, my mind was instantly changed on not running the sway bar hooked up. Make an emergency maneuver at highway speeds and see if you want to run without your swaybar. Just my experience...........

Yeah that's my plan exactly, some good disconnects . I ask about the trac bar because I had not had this problem prior to putting on the lift
