Default Lugnut opinions

I need some opinions on what would look best on my cherokee. I'm getting some black Cragar V5s and will be replacing the lugnuts and valve stems as well.

Basically I have three options, chrome, black, or red. Red is an option as eventually all my accessories will be red(ARB diff covers, red valve cover, braided hoses with red, etc...)

the downside is I can't find red ones with locking nuts(not an issue with black or chrome). I will also be adding some chrome flush mount valve stems.

If any of you have pics of any of these kinds of set ups that would help, otherwise all opinions welcome...

If you're doing chrome valve stems, I'd go chrome lugs as well. Plus, the chrome offsets the black VERY nicely.

i think the chrome would look sharp with the black...black wheels on black cherokee would be to much IMO

go with red rims and black hardware. no ones ever done that before.

on a side note, i'd stay away from those lock nuts. nothing but hassles. and with those rims, it's be just as easy to steal them with lock nuts or without.

I like that idea! If I can find some. otherwise chrome it will be.

why do you say those will be easy to steal regardless if I have locks or not?

bc everyone has access to those same style lock lug nuts. You have to go high end on lock nuts to not get stolen. If its cheep for you to buy and easy for you to find then it will be the same for a theif. I usually just dont worry about it at least on a jeep anyway lol.

I gotcha. But I didn't say what kind of lock nuts I was buying j/k. The only reason I was concerned, is I don't live in a great neighborhood, and the type of people that would steal them have no idea that they aren't expensive rims and might just take them anyways! Although I have lived here for 2 1/2 years and no one has messed with my cars previously, but I also park in front of my window and I'm pretty sure at least some of my neighbors know I have handguns since they see me carrying the cases when I go out shooting .

That seems kind of pointless... Why even make them then?

Products like these http://www.endeavorproducts.com/ are commonly found at big box home improvement stores. These make it real easy to remove any kind of nut.

BTW. you can just either paint the lugs you get or the rims red. Red wheels with black lug nuts would look cool.

any lug nut locking or not can be made off with a decent sized pair of vise grips.. and the reason they make them is to make money

ok, so I'll just get regular lug nuts.

Any of you guys use Gorilla Automotive Flush Mount Valve Stems? They work ok? That's what I"m looking at for valve stems.
