So, what are we dealing with then?

No crank?

Crank, no start?

Starter turns over but doesn't crank the engine. Been trying to figure it out and can't.

Not enough juice to throw the starter gear into the ring gear on the flywheel? does it just click or can you actually hear the starter spinning and just not engaging?

To me it doesn't sound like a solenoid, if that were the problem it wouldn't crank the starter, just click, at least on the vehicles I'm used to dealing with, sounds more like an issue with the starter drive pinion, or the flywheel, but that is just my humble opinion

Bad solenoid magnet will not push the drive into the flywheel but starter still spins.

Ok, it's different from what I'm used to dealing with then, hence the reason I added the disclaimer at the end I'm used to bigger rigs lol

Do you remember if it was a Ultima starter or best test starter? Ultima is life time warranty, but best test is one year warranty.
