Looking for a nice RACK:)
I"m sure you could make a roof rack that could have the spare up on top and then have a bracket to support a kayak. I think it would have to be custom though, I haven't see an after market product like that. Sun rot happens to all your tire, I would think on a black roof, it would be similar to sitting on the black asphalt. A spare tire cover like you see on vans would solve some of that.

hey im new here, i wanna build my own roof rack i can weld and do all the laber. i just was curious what to use. would steel tubing be to heavy? or should i use aluminum? also want to try and make it affordable i only have about 150 bucks to spend on material the cheaper the better.

thats what im gettin this year with my tax check. looks like the best deal around with all the mounting tabs included for around 300 bucks,not all costing extra money. i just want it for my spare too. ill drive up from south bend to get it,less then shipping.
