Hey guys anyone have their long arms painted red?? Looking for some pictures before I pull the trigger on my Serious Offroad LA kit. Frank Z. says they can paint them any color before shipping out. Preferably on a red XJ since mine is red. Here it is.

I say just go for it. Your coils are red should look sweet.

I dont have a red xj or red long arms, but i have a black xj and orange long arms. lol I think red would look good though. Check out clayton's long arms too. I love em and there beefy as hell. Plus the 3-peice cross member is nice.

I've looked at Clayton's before but its too pricey for me personally, although I know they make quality products. Serious Offroad's LA kit is super beefy as well and the price is right for me. Plus those guys will paint it at no extra charge. Hell i'll just go ahead and place the order next week sometime. I'm sure it'll look good painted red just wanted to see if there were any pics floating around.

I like the one piece design better rather than having bolts connecting three pieces for the crossmember itself even though I realize the thought process behind that.

Trust me, the 3 peice xmember is not a weak point is the setup. Plus, its nice to not have to disassemble the whole suspension to do tranny or tcase work.

You do not have to remove my cross member to service the tranny or the t-case.

The t-case can be removed with the cross member in place.

The cross member does need to be removed in order to remove the tranny, but how often are you going to remove your transmission?

I just talked to a rep from Clayton this past weekend at PA jeeps. They had an xj there with the setup and it looked super beefy. It convinced me its worth saving the extra $ and doing it right instead of cheaping out like I usually do

how do you get at the nut that holds the transfer case in behind the transmission mount?

Universal socket.

I will have to take a look at my decaying xj today. I thought that tranny mount pretty much sealed that area in.

You have to remove the mount, but that's simple.

That can be done with the crossmember in place? Dropping the center section sure would make it much less of a headache, not to mention you would have easier access to the other 6 nuts.

I'm looking into the IRO long arms. I'm going to strongly consider painting them red as well. Black XJ with red diff, shocks, lca, etc.
