Mr Bell a winch can help you as well as others, lockers can get you deeper than being unlocked can and without said winch your stuck, plus lockers on a small axle sometimes grenade said small axles

Lockers put you places that only a winch can get you out. I went locker first because it was cheaper and I wanted a good winch but now that I have it I wouldn't trade it for anything. I say winch then locker it will help not only you but you can help the people you wheel with too

I would say winch first. You will need it when you get stuck with a locker. I went with Locker first. Since I have gotten alot further in holes/hills that I normally wouldn't even make a dent in. However I have gotten stuck alot worse with the locker.

The one thing I've noticed with my front locker is that sometimes if its slippery, it actually hurts more than helps because you lose the ability to steer. There have been a few times in the snow or on slippery rocks where I've shut it off after sliding all over the place and it was easier to get up it.

My thoughts... a Winch is like insurance, you may never need it BUT when you do it's worth every penny spent.

On my XJ, I added in this order Lift/tires, bumpers front & rear, winch, misc... last thing is lockers. From past rigs, they give you false hopes.... like they said above, with lockers when you do get stuck.... you're really stuck & you'd wish you had a winch. you can usually find a way around or through an obsticle without lockers..

Either way.. Good luck
