Think about it. If you have a front tire up in the air and a rear tire up in the air just how in the hell do you think you're going to go anywhere? An open diff will transfer 100% power to the wheel with the least resistance.

So what you're saying is that it's better to only have one wheel on each axle spinning because that one wheel will get more power?
I've seen an FJ not make it up a hill because he was on bald all terrains. Doesn't matter if they are locked if the tires are bald.
