I recently had my liftgate jam and received instruction over the phone how to reset it with a button near the locking mechanism, but while doing that I discover another button beside and can't figure out what it does, last time it was in for service I forgot to ask, does anyone know what it's for?

 

Sounds harsh but just makes sense:

“Let’s play a game.

You pretend that you are the only one that knows what year/engine/model, etc that you are asking about.

We will all pretend you never asked a question until you provide at least the bare minimum of information about your vehicle”.
