Default Lift gate adj.?

I've probably spent too much time trying to stop all my bumps and rattles.
I have succeded so far but have yet to be able to stop my liftgate from banging on evey little bump. Being in Detriot its all the time. So I was wondering if there is any adjustment for the latch inside the gate. BTW there is no movement fo the gate itself. Seems the latch is making all the noise.

Three forms of adjustment, one or more may not apply here. Adjust latch. Adjust striker/catch. Adjust or replace rubber hatch bumpers.

I just used some weather stripping across the bottom of the door where the latch is, it closes harder and stopped the rattle...Tj

I used electrical tape and wrapped it around the striker a few times, it closes and stays tighter!!

Loosen the torx bolts just enough to allow latch to be slid in/out as needed. Retighten bolts after adjustment. The latch probably doesn't have enough play to allow proper adjustment. In this case, the rubber cushions/caps can be removed, and the bolts underneath adjusted out to tighten up hatch to body fit. Then replace the rubber cushion/caps.
