My rear bumper with gas tank skid. This is on my 92.
Its has 3" of lift and 33" tires.

 

im lovin the bumper? is that made of 2x6 box tube?
i also like the trail gear d-rings

 

I used 3" x 6" 3/16" tube for the bumper. Its mounted with 8 1/2" grade 8 bolts plus 4 3/8 " grade 8.
I used 2"x2" x 1/4" wall tube for the mounts to the frame.

when I get a winch I will build my front bumper.

 

sweet, i picked up some of that same stuff but only .090 wall not .188 about 4 months ago i just havnt gotten around to making a bumper for it.
is it mounted to just the stock 4 bolt holes?

 

I made mounts that bolt to the bottom of the frame rail. The mounts go back 19" onto the frame using all frame holes. I was also going to use the stock bolts but they all were rusted and broke. I made new holes next to stock and put plates behind to help make mounts stronger.

Heres mine that i made. its made of c-channel and mounts to the body in 10 places. the corners are 1/2 inch steel so ill never dent it and if i did i wont be alive to see it lol. it looks alot cleaner now that i grinded the welds down this pic was taken when i was still working on it obviously
Im sellin this style bumper now to anyone with an xj. ill post up my rear bumper as soon as its done

I just put this bad boy on, get this, I found it at a pick-n-pull. It was still on a Comanche. They only charged me $20!!!

 

thats the coolest rear bumper ever for me. but still need 2 things.
a hitch and the d.rings on it.
