your 2 wires off of your switch will need to be run to 2 places. you will need to pull a "hot" wire from battery to switch and the other side of switch will go to your light. all the switch does is break the line to your accessory(light). you should have 2 wires on your light. the copper will hook to the hot wire coming from the switch and the other wire will need to be grounded. i am assuming you know that since its only a 2 wire switch it will not be illuminated when turned on.

also, if you run a hot wire from battery to switch you can turn on lights with or without the key on. if you do not want this and only want the lights to be turned on when jeep is running you need to find a wire that has power on it after the key is turned on.

make sure your light is grounded before hooking anything up to prevent blowing lights. i would run all wires before connecting to your power source. hope all this helps

I have no idea what kind of switching item you have or what the LED strips look like. Are there leads on both sides? What does the switch look like? Are the LED strips made to wire up to a 14.4V system?

If there is already a switch, then all you need to do is connect the power to a power source. If you want them to come on whenever you want, hook it up to your battery. If you want them on when the car is on, hook it up to your ciggerette lighter. If you want them to come on when you open the doors, hook the copper wire to the power of that little light that comes on when you open the doors. It's really simple with LED strips, just give them power! From just about anything..
