Model: Cherokee (XJ)

"KL? MJ? XJ? ZJ? WK???"

How is a layperson supposed to know what his or her two letter code is?? Where do these codes come from. I have a 2019 Cherokee and im GUESSING its a "KL" but I really don't know why.

Yes, a 2019 would be a KL. Those are the platform codes:

XJ - 1984-2001 "Square Body" Cherokees
MJ - An XJ based compact pickup (1986-1992)
ZJ- 1993-1998 Frist generation Grand Cherokees.
WJ- 1999-2004 Second Generation Grand Cherokees
WK- 2005-2010 Third Generation Grand Cherokees
WK2 - 2011+ Fourth Generation Grand Cherokees
KL - 2014+ Cherokees

YJ- 1986-1995 First Generation Wrangler
TJ - 1997-2006 Second Generation Wrangler
LJ - Long-Wheel Base version of the TJ Wrangler (2004-2006)
JK - 2007-2018 Third Generation Wrangler
