2001 "Cherokee" and "Sport" Emblems
Hey guys. I am about to do some bodywork on my wife's cherokee. We are going to get it painted. I was wondering where I could buy a new set of emblems to replace the "Cherokee" and "Sport" emblems that are located on the door. I could get them from the dealer, but I know it will cost me a fortune.
Does anyone know where I could find these emblems?
Thanks very much!

this I know. I have them on my vehicle. I am worried that if I go to pull them off, and then try to put them back on, I am gonna mess them up.

What the heck? Not sure how I ended up responding to this long ago dead thread - oh well. I am leaving my response to help someone down the road since there was no good answer here.
You can peel them off without damaging them - just start slow and work yoru way around each letter carefully. The integrated adhesive coating on the back will be shot. This was no problem for me - I cut 3M adhesive tape to size (yes, tedious) to re-adhere all of my OEM emblems following a paint job. Worked liek a charm with the exception that (1) it was tedious, and (2) it the letters are slightly raised due to the fact the 3M tape is thick. If you go this route definitely use 3M brand adhesive tape nothing else will be as good.
I could not find a reasonable price for a set of OEM emblems and I looked pretty extensively. Not sure what the going rate at the dealer for a full set is.
