How is a layperson supposed to know what his or her two letter code is?? Where do these codes come from. I have a 2019 Cherokee and im GUESSING its a "KL" but I really don't know why.

 

Yes, a 2019 would be a KL. Those are the platform codes:

XJ - 1984-2001 "Square Body" Cherokees

around my area the part stores refer to my xj as a regular cherokee since it is not grand lol
