I have a chance to buy a 86 cherokee but it has a 2.8L automatic in it which I know the tranny will not hook up to the 4.0L automatic in my 96 but are you saying that the body parts will fit my 94 & 96? If so that would be great. What about the interior, (seats) mainly.... it's for sale for $300.00, would it be a wise move to buy it just for the body parts and non engine parts like interior and lights etc? What I am trying to do is buy another Cherokee to where it could benefit me on both of the Cherokees that I have, I figure it's cheaper all around rather buying a part here and there. Thank you for responding to my ? & for the advice.

the seat brackets are different after 1994 so 84-94 seats swap.
