1991 Cherokee Laredo - 50th Anniversary
Hi,
Thought I check in... I've owned my 1991 Cherokee Laredo for 25 years. I bought it new in August 1991. I've been restoring her as time permits... interior is complete, need to work on the exterior and she'll be like new..
Enjoy..

Nice. What was offered on the 50th anniversary? I'm not familiar with that model. I would love to see some shots of the interior. Where are you located? It appears your XJ is rust free!

Thanks guys... I tried to post more info but my post went into the abyss requiring moderator approval.
Whats up with that? Never seen a site require that before.

See the attached window sticker, right column... first bullet point. I never paid much attention to the window sticker when I bought it. A few years ago I had it out, looked at the window sticker and there it was "50TH Anniversary - Laredo"..
I do have some rust developing on the lower rear quarter panel - driver side. I'm kinda bummed about that. I guess I'll need to cut that section out and tack in a new section.
I'll post more photos of the interior later..

Wow, that is a nicely optioned Cherokee for 1991! You paid a pretty penny for it back in those days. I sincerely hope if you ever get rid of it, you send it off to a good home. It really should be restored and not hacked to death which is the fate of too many XJs.

I bought the OEM material from SMS many years ago... I couldn't believe they had it in stock, so I bought enough to do other areas if needed. As it stands, I had to have the two front seats redone because the first upholsterer sewed and installed the material with the grain going in the wrong direction. These photos are with the incorrect grain direction..
The only items left to cover are the visors.. Those I will do myself..
Here's a link to SMS... http://www.smsautofabrics.com
