Default ::Interior Panel Paint Tips?::

The interior panels in my 99 xj are starting to fade and look old. I have a plan to pull out a few at a time and wash/prep/paint them properly. starting at the back.

Anyone have any experience doing this or know WHAT PAINTS WORK BEST ON THESE INTERIOR PANELS?

I am just talking about the hard plastic ones. They have a small texture to them. I could always use Krylon but there must be a better option that will hold up better. Or maybe not.

Looking for any tips!
Thanks!

Try testors model spray paint. I've had really good luck in the past with it and there are a ridiculous amount of colors available.

My dad had some hunter green paint that we sprayed on a unpreped kick panel. We left it outside where we painted it. Beleive it or not but it's been 7 (? maybe more) years & the paint is still on it.

Since then Krylon Fusion has came out. I will be trying this route when I do my door panels. You can also use dye designed for plastic.

First you don't use paint look at sem brand dye it comes in a spray can and a ton of factory colors.But before you dye it you gonna clean it really good.Take the part out wash it with a good dish soap and some tsp cleaner then a grease and wax remover then you dye it.
