If the OP wants to spend a bunch of money on a so called Cherokee that's his choice. Myself I would rather put the money in my XJ, and still have cash left over. I think it will be awhile before you can find a lift etc for the KY. It's to bad they used the cherokee name to market a mall crawler. Can't wait to see one on the Rubicon Trail this summer when I am there LOL. Oh wait it has the little dial with rock setting, should be good to go! Why did I waste my money on getting my XJ set up?

But most people won't be modifying or adding a lift to their Buick or Lexus.

Okay the OP is trading in his 96 XJ, probably get 2 thousand. Up here in Canada I think the trailhawk is around 35,000 thousand. Man that is alot of cash to put into a XJ. You have a very reliable jeep spending that much money. Mind you you can't finance fixing up a XJ. Sounds like a cash flow problem to me, dealers love people like that.

^^^^^^^^^^ Many prizes for you.

People (including myself) love comparing the KL to a Kia. (Kia Lookalike?) How many people lift their Kias?

Yup, 35k-40k now take 2150 out and I can bet you my left kidney that I can make my jeep 100% better(than it already is) with a full size cage, 1tons, 42"s bomb proof drivetrain(stroker engine, wide chain mod, etc...) bead locks, etc.... And I'd still have money left over for plenty if gas lol

As I said before, if he couldn't get his xj off road worthy(there off road worthy stock?!?) then he is clearly been dropped to many times or doing something wrong lol

I am not justifying anything, just stating what I think. Maybe you should justify how spending that much on a 2014 cherokee is better than spending less than half on a XJ to make a reliable on and off road vehicle. What do I know, only been married to a CPA for twenty years, she would never justify spending that on the so called new cherokee. Remember the minute it leaves the lot you have just lost 25% of your initial cost. Your logic is baffling.

The same thing can be said about ANY new vehicle, so I don't really see what the point you're trying to make is...

Young girls are more expensive, why do old men leave their wives for them? As far as your finance speel goes you're barking up the wrong tree. I paid 5k just in markup for my 2013 GT500 last march. I know how it works.
@salad thanks for the much needed logic

At least while he is driving it he does not have to see how ugly it is.
