Its all part of that "Jeep Thing" Its the only brand I know where other Jeepers will tell you that you dont drive a real jeep because its not modded or a wrangler or whatever. They wont wave for the same reason. When I had my Tacoma ten years ago I got waves all day long from other toyota truck drivers and 4runners. When I had my Chevy 4x4 I got waves from tons of GM guys. Never heard one tell another they dont wave for some dumb ***** reason. Anyway, its all part of that "Jeep Thing"

 

out here in nebraska just about everybody waves at everyone else unless they are stuck up turds. I get the wheeler waves if I am driving my modded lifted cherokee, when I'm in my stock jeep all I get is the half wave which is the regular hello wave everyone gives. I don't drive my modded jeep that much,it is LOUD, and the tires absolutly howl on asphalt, I think it pisses people off quite a bit, except for other off roaders...

 

I wave at most other Jeeps I see on the road but in the four months I have had my xj, I have only gotten one wave back and it was from a fellow xj driver. Most of the time I either get the confused "do I know you" look or a disgusted f***k you look, used to burn me up a little, now I just shrug and keep on goin.

 

ive got the wave from a fellow modded xj driver and a wrangler driver even stopped so he would let me get in front of him

 

I've been getting a wave daily from a nodded yj on the way to work I had to rent a bobcat and lull for work turns out he works at the rental shop real nice dude helped me tune up my xj..

 

lol ya or they are too old to wanna lift their hands to wave lol

 

i waved at a wrangler full of fine females today they just looked at me and smiled lol

I live in northeast Pa. I had 6 or 7 wranglers people always waved now with my cherokee nobody waves. Don"t know why.

 

Because everyone hates us especially hummers haha

 

i only wave at lifted XJ's or if its a younger driver that beats it and know that they can take it,
i never wave at grands but i had one wave at me the other day but that grand was jacked up

 

What I dont understand is the hierarchy...

Cherokee's sold more than any other Jeep... And at the least, shouldn't the Cherokee be above the TJ and YJ? I mean... we do have a couple years on them...

I wave at all Jeeps, but most of the time only modded xj's wave back. But I got one of these of ebay and stuck it to the upper corner of the windshield just in case.
