it depends on the jeep. if its some rich guy in a new jk with newly bought tires axles shocks blah blah blah i just about flip em off cuz they might as well be driving a bmw.

xjs i do and most dont wave back, but any jeep that looks like it gets wheeled will usually wave back to me. or the ones being trailered will wave also (not broken, the ones too cut up to be street legal)

ill get more sas toyotas to wave at me tho which is sad

 

I wave at all Jeeps, but I definitely get less waves back when I'm in the Cherokee than when I'm in the Rubicon.

Don't get too many waves back no matter what I'm driving when I wave at a stock JK... too many soccer moms I guess and they don't know why somebody is waving at them

I always wave though... it makes me smile when I get a wave back, but I don't mind if they don't wave back either, I'm just happy to be in the Jeep.

 

I notice I'll only receive waves from modified Jeeps. I wave to XJs TJs YJs CJs and some ZJs. I never wave to KJs even though I have gotten a wave from one. I just revved my engine at them instead. Most time I won't wave at none modified Jeeps, but some do wave first to me. It's really a hit or miss type of thing.

 

I used to wave, now I just honk at every xj I pass. Most of em look around like they did something wrong. So even if they don't honk back or wave I get a kick out of their confusion.

 

i only wave at modded cherokees. 50% get a wave back

 

X2 on that, Way back when I had a CJ7, I got almost a 100% waveback

 

like one guy said i only wave at them if it looks like the vehicle gets wheeled. i can't tell you about many lifted xjs and wronglers i have waved at and they just look at me like it really ticks me off, i've even followed up some waves with a finger if its a real nice clean cherokee or something with a 100% clueless driver ... so now my new policy is wave at any thing that gets wheeled and i've gotten waves back from yotas, lifted fullsize trucks, seems to be alot of big fullsize blazers by me they all wave.

 

I get a few waves back, and sometimes if I'm behind a modded XJ I'll just get on the PA and yell "Alright XJ!" I've gotten someone to follow me to where I was going just to have a chat about our XJ's that way (I didn't ask them to follow, they just did).

 

My xj is stock and I never get waves.....but ppl love to see the nova and when I am in my lifted cj5.....my xj gets no respect.....but it will one day!!!!!!

 

I wave at everyone in a jeep. I live in somerset pa. I got more waves back the first month of having my xj then I have the last 6 months lmao. Combination of oblivious people and people in my neck o the woods thinking they are better then everyone else. One kid with a stock xj told me mine was a piece of crap compared to his. When mine has a few nice mods, and has 50k more then his and a cracked manifold and sounds better then his engine and looks a lot better then his. Most wrangler owners just think they are better and straight up ignore or flip off. Makes me mad. We as jeepers are a family.

 

i try and wave at every xj i see around here. Most of em wave back if they are lifted or follow for a bit just to talk with ya. If its a stock xj most people wont wave.

There are alot of the tj, cj, wronglers that wave at you too, this guy with a new 4dr waves or flashes his lights everytime we pass one another.

Lol I lived in Iowa for 5 years an ive never been another place where everyone waves all the time lol. Mainly cuz 3 cars in a row was traffic up there lol.

I only wave at jeeps on 33s or better. When I had my wrangler I always got a wave from wrangler guys an I would wave to big xjs or zjs. When I had my other xjs I usually only got waves from bigger wranglers but that's cuz I was on 33s or 35s. No waves in the Ned xj yet but that should change next week when the IRO 8" la comes in hehe

 

Man, there seems to be some bias against stock XJs. I know there are a lot of stockers that will never see so much as a dirt road, but there are also quite a few that are biding their time and saving their funds to do a lift and other mods. (like me)

I wave at all other Jeeps, with the biggest saved for all XJs.

 

My daily driver is a stock WJ, and no one ever waves at me and I never wave at anyone. I used to wave, but never got any waves back and gave up. My XJ wheeler is heavily modified and I wave at and get waves back from pretty much all other built Jeeps and wheelers (except from some of the snobby Toyota guys). Funny thing is in my XJ I don't get many waves back from people in stock XJs. Maybe they just don't get the "Jeep thing" or it could be my rig is so modified they don't recognize it as an XJ .

 

I always look at all jeeps comming towards me and nobody waves.
I don't wave first. maybe i'll try that. btw my xj is stock.
