I heard about the "Jeep Wave" but I'm not sure exactly what it is. Is there a specific way to wave at other jeeps? Do you guys wave at only XJ's, or all jeeps?

For me... typically between other XJs... and like Very Red said... also typically between other modified/ true off road rigs... not mall crawling or trailer queens.
I think because typically only real off-road jeepers truly get the Jeep life. All the others you have to use the phrase "It's a Jeep thing... If I have to explain it to you, you wouldn't understand"

If it's any consolation Ralph... I have to admit that here in southern TX .... you really have to go out of your way to play in the dirt... it just sucks having to basically go on a road trip to do that. I've been here going on 2 years and I'm still not used to a city this size... i grew up out in the country and mountains....where there was always a trail close by.
haven't heard of the "duck" thing... think I'll save my brain-cells the hurt of looking that up and just let it pass... lol

Like I said appears to be a JK, or whatever the hell they call them '07 and newer, thing.
Somebody posted this and seeing how my first Jeep almost 50 years ago was a '46 CJ2A I could not help but laugh.

Go on YouTube and check D & E in the Garage.
Doug has an interesting show on the "Jeep wave".
He makes some good points about it.
I'm not typically a "waver", but he's got me thinking more about it.

Even though my Jeep is not upgraded for off-road use it always seems to be drivers of modded XJs that wave at me or back at me. Most other people driving stock Cherokees pay no mind and seem like they might just as well be in a Toyota Camry.
