I recently had my 98 Cherokee stolen out of my driveway. (Rural Washington) The thieves then used my Jeep to hit some other homes and rode around in it for a couple of weeks before getting caught. In one of the other thefts using my jeep the homeowner took some shots at them and my jeep ended up with a bullet hole in the rear door. The bullet went in and hit the harder metal in the door and bounced back out. They drove it like they stole it and beat it up (engine knocks) and striped enough parts for the insurance to total it. I purchased it back and am slowly getting it back to what it was. This jeep was in almost perfect shape and only has 160k miles. This week I attempted to repair the bullet hole. I don't have a welder so used some bondo. It was my first time using bondo but I think it turned out alright. Just need to paint the color now and find a new trim piece. We will see how well the bondo holds up.

wow... If it were me... I'd be happy and sad all at the same time if that happened to my baby...
Happy that it was back... but sad...because at the same time I wouldn't really want to see hell some thief put it through. I take very good care of mine and some punk would just drive the crap out of it.
Of course, that's just my own personal opinion.
Back to your post now... looking good on the repair.
Steeling cars and robbing homes with their victims shooting back - man you live in a tough neighborhood - but this is a nice repair
Not necessarily a tough neighborhood... they could be referring to the great state of Texas... where every-other household has a set of dinner place-mats with the 2nd amendment written on them on the table.
The single star is the "Lone Star" state.... need I say more? LOL

Not really a rough area. We are starting to see more meth heads and property crimes. With how things are in WA state, law enforcement can't do much. They get arrested and then are back out on the streets. Can't charge people with drug possession, can't pursue a vehicle if it it wasn't a violent crime and they go over the speed limit. The sheriff chased my jeep several times but had to stop the chase because they couldn't pursue him as soon as he started running. I even saw him driving my jeep and chased him until I couldn't safely keep up. Getting the word out on facebook was what finally found the jeep. They actually stole my 98 and then came back the next week and stole my 89. The 89 is bright orange so they couldn't get away with driving it around so they dumped it quick after stripping a bunch of parts.
