jeep is totalled. question about the value?
So i was involved in an accident where my jeep was hit on the drivers side and it pushed the axle to the passenger side by about 3 inches. the adjuster said it would be a total loss. then told me the value of the car is 3500. but that if i decide to keep it the salvage value is $950. so i would only get a check for 2450. is the salvage value high? i only ask because a friend of mine got his 2000 cherokee totalled out and his buy back was 400 with more aftermarket parts.

the only reason its being totalled out is because the front axle is pushed 3 inches to the passenger side. it doesnt even look that bad. and there is a big dent in the drivers door.

Every insurance company has different policies. I totaled my 86 mazda truck back in 2008 and the insurance gave me 2000 bucks for a truck I only paid 700 for six months earlier. I bought it back for 90 dollars and swapped the engine and all of the LX parts to another mazda truck I picked up for 600 with a blown engine.
