Jeep owners and giving the "thumbs up" when passing each other!?
In my area modded xj's will wave back but wrangler guys are to busy flexing and fixing there blow out hair dues or cLeaning there mirrior glasses. One guy i pass all the time has a new wrangler with every possible off road item you can have on it and not a scratch on it "spotless" i just shake my head at him in shame.

Stephen Colbert was actually talking about this on his show last week, and the long tradition of cherokee (even though he showed a pic of a wrangler) drivers giving the two fingers and kind of a clenched fist wave to each other. I did this to another xj and got no love back.

Ok, I am new to being a jeep owner, and loving every minute of it - but it is like harley riders, who- when they pass each other to give the ole nod of the head and wave or thumbs up to each other? LOL!
I am noticing this a lot since driving my XJ to work, and I think it is super cool, but at first I kept thinking to myself " do I know that person". LOL

I pretty much knew that would happen. I have not got a chance to really drive mine far but I know people will like it. I'm in the process of upgrading the intire cooling system with hi-flow components. I can tell and never would I have thought that people love their jeeps so much. I already love mine so I guess its natural to love em'. I used to have a 2005 350z and it was the same way. Funny when I owned my 2002 F-150 v8 5.4 no one really cared but mine was clean.

I thought it was neat how when I got my wrangler in 1997 that others would wave. The CJ owners would not, except once in awhile a friendly CJ would wave. This year was wierd though from about mid January nobody was waving at nobody but one TJ driver did. It was like they all knew I was secretly plotting to trade the YJ for an XJ. Since I got my XJ nobody waves. Some will look as if wanting to. Wheres the Love?
