Jeep owners and giving the "thumbs up" when passing each other!?
Ok, I am new to being a jeep owner, and loving every minute of it - but it is like harley riders, who- when they pass each other to give the ole nod of the head and wave or thumbs up to each other? LOL!
I am noticing this a lot since driving my XJ to work, and I think it is super cool, but at first I kept thinking to myself " do I know that person". LOL

Anybody lifted around here will wave, but if it is stock, no chance. I still wave, even at wranglers. Some wave back and others give the look of "get a real jeep", but I tell people they don't wave cuz they're jealous mines covers in mud.lol

I love the wave and the community that is the Jeep culture. Nothing like a group of people who are willing to bring you in happily and help you out of being stuck and help you get ready to GET stuck!

Got my Jeep 2 years ago, and have only been waved at like 3 times in my life by another Jeep... and I always initiated it first, so I'm guessing it was one of those "Do I know you?" waves. Nobody seems to get it here in PA, so I've given up! Usually just a headnod here and there when passing a fellow Cherokee.
My XJ is on stock suspension, but I have a nice brush guard on the front now so I'm hoping that others will see I'm at least somewhat serious...

Yup I wave and get waved at by other lifted XJs, its pretty cool. like a jeep brotherhood, stock jeeps tend to just drive on by or give a wierd look. Wrongler drivers don't really seem to extend the courtesy much.

I'm not to worried about it, but I'll wave if someone waves at me. I've only gotten a few in Lake Saint Louis. It happens no where else. But mine looks all stock but the 3" lift.

I think I've gotten two waves since having my XJ. Course, if I waved at every XJ I saw, my hand would probably fall off. I get more waves driving my lifted Ford and though I've tried waving to folks in lifted Wranglers, they usually just give me a dirty look or ignore me all together. I'm beginning to think they have some sort of complex....
