What is he asking? The "decent bit of rust" concerns me. Where is it, how much, and is it something friends or family, or even yourself can do, or will it require a body shop? Rust can get very expensive. And very labor intensive. Does it even run? Any other mechanical issues besides the driveshaft and slipyoke? Why is that stuff missing to begin with?

If it looks like it has a fair amount of rust it almost certainly has a lot more than you think. My recommendation is to pass on this unless you get it for a few hundred dollars - basically what you could recover as scrap value.
