Question input on a purchase

I'm looking at a 99 sport 4d with 137xxx miles. 6" lift, 33x13.5 MT, flowmaster, baja front and rear bumpers, bushwacker Pocket flares (rear driver side door flare piece seems to set in 1/4 inch more than the quarter pannel piece) safari rack, new head gasket and radiator, power windows and locks, cloth seats. It has a few of the usual interior blemishes like tear in the top of the rear seat and the trim on the floor of the cargo bay where the hatch closes is cracked. It has a dent in the rear qarter that just crosses one of the body lines and it has paint chipped with some surface rust. AC needs charged (supposedly) and thats all I can think of off the top of my head. They want $6900 financed or $6000 cash..both way too high. KBB puts it around $5300. I'm thinking of $5000 with $5500 max. What do yall think? I know its a lot of VAGUE info.

all aftermarket parts lose almost all resale value as you probably know. except maybe tires..
I wouldnt spend that much on any jeep xj ever buy a nicer car for that price. especially if it has a lift or other upgrades never trust the previous owner
pristine virgin stock is the way to go put all your own upgrades on so you know theyre done right
I personally would pass

you are about right on with your expectations, in my area a dealership would have that listed (stock) at around 4500-5000, the asking cash price is atleast in the ballpark but the financed amount i would tell them to EAD

truck was junk...SPRAYING power steering...typical cherokee interior, a lot of "experience" on the body and like I said 140,00 miles

BUT right next door was a 98 4.0 with all the options, stock but brand new BFG mud terrains, clean boddy and new paint, clean clean clean interior, stero system and........wait for it......................88,xxx miles!

best part? $5,100 down from $6,000

Congrats! Post up some pictures. That's an awesome price, especially for only 88k miles.
