Thanks folks.... but i'm afraid it's time to leave. Selling the XJ. in the midst of all my travelling i came across my dream truck and wife says it's one or the other. I'm torn, or was till i decided i wanted my 73 K5 Blazer back. if you're interested in buying the XJ cheap let me know. been lots of helpful ppl here with some great insight and for those of you that won't be missed you weren't important anyways.

Even re gearing I don't see it getting any better than 10 MPG but dammit they look good

ok u guys got me there but my stepdads 88 bronco gets about 12 to 15 and he has no lift with 31's and that is a v8 and has a shift kit

Hate to see you go, but can understand. As a guy who's driven many trucks that have gotten around 5 mpg, I know you do it because you love it, not for the mpg. Good luck with the K5!
