ignition actuator rod removal

ignition actuator rod removal

hi i am glyn and resently bought a cherokee 2.8crd 5dr sport 2006. i have found that the actuator rod from the ignition barrel to ign block is broken but i cannot seem to get the ign barrel out. question ? can i pull the rod out from the other end.
