A month after my dad got his xj in 96, when I was 16, I was driving it to school, doing about 45mph, and a car on a cross street decided to go. When he realized how close I was, he panicked and hit his breaks instead of gas. T-Bone! I was knocked out by the air bag, when I came to, I tried to get out but the door wouldn't open, I kicked it open, got out half dazed and fully pissed. I started walking to the guys car, thinking I was gonna be a tough guy and talk some crap, but he was passed out in the pass. Seat, didn't have a seatbelt on. I thought he died, I saw him unconscious, my dads new jeep totaled, I broke down. The guy didn't die, called my dad at work from some house, he asked if I was ok, I did ya but not the jeep, HE DIDNT CARE ABOUT THE JEEP! I was so scared, but a fathers love. , right? I had my license for maybe two months. The jeep was fixed, kind of, about 400$ away from being totaled. So other than a lil tweak in the unibody, she has been the best vehicle ever! And now she is finally mine 16 years later!!

 

My front bumper would destroy a car possibly a truck, I know my sliders would hold up to a car , my gastank skid is bombproof but I know my *** end would be done . Thanks for reminding me I need to buy a swingout carrier

 

People have insurance in Greeley? I thought it was about as common as a drivers license or US citizenship out there...

As for me I'd be livid, since I don't have anything armored.

 

I got hit in the front corner of my JCR bumper by a truck without lights on in the early am. I was furious till I got out and saw the difference in damage. My jeep had a cracked blinker and a few scratches... the trucks hood was all smashed in. After that I was pretty joyfull. I think if someone hit it hard enough to really really mess it up, I wouldn't be thinking anything till I woke up in the hospital.

 

The last thing to total my Jeep got fried and eaten. It was an eight point buck.

If my xj got hit I would make sure everyone was ok first. but I will never part with my jeep its been with me to long and has alot of meaning to my family, my friends, and myself. I dont care if at some point its mostly tubes she wont go away.
